Who We Are

Ledger Bee LLC is a virtual bookkeeping firm serving small businesses throughout Southern California. Owner JC brings 20+ years of corporate finance experience (UCLA, Live Nation, LA Times), is QuickBooks certified, and operates out of Gardena, CA. We specialize in producing clean, lender-ready financial statements — the exact documents SBA underwriters require.

What We Deliver

We produce the three financial statements lenders need to qualify borrowers:

Profit & Loss Statement — monthly, quarterly, or annual; categorized and reconciled, ready for underwriter review.

Balance Sheet — current assets, liabilities, and owner equity as of any reporting date.

Cash Flow Statement — operating, investing, and financing activities showing how cash moves through the business.

All statements are prepared in QuickBooks Online and delivered on a monthly close schedule — no scrambling at application time.

Why Lenders Refer Borrowers to Us

Incomplete or inconsistent books are the leading reason SBA applications stall. When you refer a borrower to Ledger Bee, they arrive at underwriting with two to three years of clean P&Ls, a current balance sheet, and a reconciled cash flow statement — the exact package SBA 7(a) and 504 programs require. We never prepare tax returns, so we complement your relationship with the borrower's CPA rather than displace it.

3-Touch Outreach Tip

When a borrower isn't loan-ready yet, a brief referral sequence keeps the relationship warm:

1. Mail — send or email them this one-pager with a personal note: "Get your books loan-ready before you apply."
2. Call — follow up 3–5 days later to confirm they received it and answer any questions about the process.
3. Check in — at 30 days, ask if they've connected with a bookkeeper. Borrowers who clean up their books come back to you first when they're ready to apply.

Most borrowers need 2–3 months of clean books before they're application-ready. Referring them early puts you in control of the timeline.
